Elect Sonya Sasser for Horry County Board of Education District 7

Leadership. Trust. Experience.

STRONG FOUNDATION, BRIGHT FUTURE

“Our students are the architects of Horry County’s future. They deserve the highest level of education possible because a bright future is built on a strong foundation.”

Sonya Sasser has proudly called Horry County home for over 30 years. Deeply rooted in the community, she lives on a small farm in the Keysfield community with her husband, Paul, a Conway native. Together, they raised their four children—Hampton, Lane, Kai, and Evie—and are overjoyed to welcome their first grandson this June.

As a small business owner and licensed esthetician in downtown Conway, Sonya understands the hard work, dedication, and fiscal responsibility required to run a successful operation.

Beyond her business, she is deeply invested in the community, serving on the Advisory Board for the YMCA of Coastal Carolina. Sonya has already proven herself a fierce, state-level advocate for civic responsibility, student safety, and parental rights.

Sonya is running for the Board of Education to provide true accountability and a meaningful choice to the voters of District 7.

Her platform is built on four core pillars:

Academic Excellence: Preparing students for the real world with multiple pathways to career success.

Parental Rights & Student Safety: Ensuring parents have a voice and schools remain safe havens for learning.

Fiscal Responsibility: Protecting taxpayer dollars and ensuring resources go directly to the classroom.

Strong Governance: Bringing transparency, accountability, and leadership back to the school board.

Why New Leadership Matters

Horry County is rapidly growing, and our schools face new challenges every day. It is time for a fresh perspective on the Board of Education—one that prioritizes common sense, conservative values, and a "students-first" mentality. Sonya Sasser is ready to be that voice for District 7.

"Our children are the architects of the future. They deserve the highest level of education in the safest environment.”
